System Description

AMAC is a sign inspection system which is:

• Automated
• Systematic
• Robust
• Safe
• Efficient
• Documented
• Based on "actual" performance of the traffic sign as seen by the driver

AMAC objectively quantifies and gathers data on the performance of traffic signs during the most critical time - night.

In addition to retroreflectivity levels, AMAC also measures sign:

• Luminance
• Position
• Dimensions
• Color

AMAC data can be integrated into GIS and Google Earth and evaluates the correct positioning of the signs, as well as its size.
